PLANT FLEET

Maxibor has the largest fully operational HDD fleet in Australia with ten rigs including four maxi-rigs (330,000lb of thrust or more) capable of long-distance, large diameter bores.

Our equipment can be easily mobilised to anywhere in Australia from its bases in the Hunter Valley in New South Wales, Stapylton in south east Queensland and in metropolitan Melbourne.

With four maxi-rigs in its fleet, Maxibor is one of the dominant providers of long bore installations of the gas, water, sewer and ocean outfall pipelines in Australia. Its other five medium sized rigs are able to complete the shorter bores (20m to 500m).

The plant fleet includes tooling, mud recycling systems, mud pumps, mixing systems, truck mounted vacuum trucks, prime movers and trailers, excavators, water trucks and site vehicles sufficient to undertake up to six projects at any one time.

Two Vermeer R9Tx12R Mud Recycler 1500 GPM

These recyclers are ideal for maxi-rig large-scale pipeline projects. They can recycle drilling fluids (mud) at rates of up to 1500 GPM. Their capacity reduces costs through less disposal trips.

The 45-degree manifold provides a consistent flow of drilling fluid, while the elliptical shaker improves material handling across the shaker decks. Click here to see the recyclers in action.

Vacuum Units and Tankers- Ready to go 24hrs a day

Locating services via non-destructive cable locating methods and protecting the environment is a mandatory aspect required under Maxibor’s systems.

We have eight vacuum and tanker units ranging in capacity from 6,500 litres to 32,000 litres that can assist all civil and HDD operations on your project. The six smaller units are truck mounted high-pressure water service location units.

The above major plant items are complimented by an extensive range of other equipment including two Gardner Denver PZ9 pumps, eight excavators  up to 35T, two GN Solid and two Kemtron recycling systems, mixing systems, twelve trucks and multiple support vehicles and equipment, state of the art tracking systems and enough rods and tooling to comfortably operate on multiple projects at any time.

Maxibor also has ready access to other maxi rigs and HDD equipment through its long-term alliance partners.
